From Solvang we took a quick trip up the 101 to check out tiny Los Alamos, a place I had stopped for gas on many occasions. We were surprised at how much of a destination it has become. We ate at Bob's Well Bread Bakery (above), where the line was almost out the door. Similar establishments lined the main thoroughfare. A highlight for me was seeing the renovated Skyview Motel, now a boutique hotel that we are looking forward to staying at.
It was a great quick side trip.
