There really weren't that many dinner options in the tiny town of Independence. We went to a French restaurant known as Still Life as soon as it opened, but it still took a very long time. Not sure what the problem was. Curiously, some couples that arrived after us were almost done with their meals before our entree even landed on the table. I liked the food, but as a hungry person I regretted that it wasn't presented sooner.
The portions were quite small as well. The time line of our arrival, ordering, being served, and getting our check was ridiculous!
