This second visit to the place some call Cliff Dwellers wasn't as enchanting as the first. There were no signs explaining anything - what apparently was once a sign was weathered and covered with graffiti, so there was no saying whether this land was public, private, Navajo or otherwise. And while some work had apparently been done to restore the "dwellings", there was also graffiti all over the inside walls. It was disheartening, and the sight of a flosser didn't help, but the actual formations as well as the location at the base of the Vermillion Cliffs are still magical.
People can be a disgrace. And it is especially glaringly obvious in natural settings.
