The Flagstaff area has three National Monuments, the only one of which I'd seen was Walnut Canyon. I had driven by Sunset Crater many times, encountered the brochure, and often wondered why I had never been there. So it was nice to finally visit. Upon entering there's a good view of the crater (above), and in the opposite direction an equally good view of the snow-covered San Francisco Peaks (at bottom) - the range that includes Arizona's highest point, Humpheys Peak (12, 637 feet).
