It was interesting to be there on opening day. There was a general exodus from a large parking area to the North Rim lodge (seen above; its actual name is Grand Canyon Lodge), with stops at the visitor center and gift shop along the way. To the right of the main road was a sea of log cabins where, under normal circumstances, people stay. For the time being, until the plumbing was fixed, this whole area was day use only.
We’re you supposed to stay in a cabin or the lodge?
