Plunging into the open desert east of Twentynine Palms, there is a sense of having left the manmade world behind. The most beautiful stretch is evidently known as the Sheephole Valley Wilderness. At a high speed I saw a Bureau of Land Management sign flash by. (On my return I made a point of stopping and photographing the sign). These photos, taken while driving, only do the place partial justice.
Can’t wait to see the area “in person”. 😄
