A couple more views of the famous Astoria-Megler Bridge. The bridge was opened in 1966 and replaced a long-running ferry service. Note: Astoria was renamed Fort George when the British seized it during the War of 1812. The name reverted to Astoria in 1818, but the city was jointly occupied until 1846, when the Oregon Treaty officially established the Oregon Territory as part of the United States.
