Redding's star attraction is the Turtle Bay Exploration Park on the Sacramento River. It's named after the turtles that inhabit the area, some of which I saw in a pond off the trail that runs along the river. It was very hot that day so my best moments were sitting in the shade by the river. The park is said to be 300 acres.
It doesn’t look toooo hot in the photos. Maybe because they were mostly or all taken when you were in the shade?
