tea trees

I must credit Wilsons Prom for clarifying what tea trees look like. The Melaleuca genus also includes a common street tree in California that looks very different (M. quinquenervia). But the source of the famous tea tree oil comes from these gnarled-looking trees (M. alternifolia) that were growing all over the Prom. At least I think this is the case.
