Big history was made one very hot August day when - after years of patiently pining to take the ferryboat from Orient Point, NY to New London, CT - I finally did. It's the ferryboat that John Steinbeck mentions in his book Travels With Charlie. Now I too can write about it. Here we are leaving Orient Point.
