We saw even more strange organisms outside the aquarium, swimming in Monterey Bay. These we were told were pelagic red crabs, a rare infestation of them that is the consequence of warmer temperatures. Their manner of swimming, a sort of breaststroke using their claws like arms, was interesting to look at.
