This humble adobe in Santa Fe, NM is thought to be the oldest house in the United States. The foundation belonged to an Indian Pueblo dating from around the year 1200. Centuries later the Spanish found various uses for it. The missions of California and oldest New England farm houses are Spring chickens by comparison.
