Hadn't kayaked on Lake Casitas for some time. Unfortunately the island I intended to paddle around - Arrow Island - was submerged (see map below). Wind and weather were fickle, but the upside was the discovery of this levee that was also trail I didn't even know about. From my kayak I could see people hiking across it.
It was worth it even if not what we expected.
