I couldn't help wondering about this grand old building on the North Park Blocks near the hotel. When asked, the hotel clerks thought it was an embassy. Turns out it's the old U.S. Custom House, built 1898-1901, from the era when the nation built these grandiose Custom Houses. It was landmarked in 1973 and has been extensively renovated to serve as office space.
I remember that building, but have never been sure what goes on there.
