The following day brought a new experience: a bison jam. That is, for over half an hour car traffic had to negotiate the bison traffic. And it wasn't two bison like the day before, but a thirty-plus herd. Understandably, no one wants trouble with the bison while driving. On the plus side, we were able to savor the scenery along the Firehole River (below).
It was the perfect reason to have to slow down and enjoy the scenery with greater awareness.
