Across the street from the Gibson Inn, the Franklin County Courthouse glowed in the setting sun. The sight beckoned us. Then, beyond this appealingly solid and well-maintained structure, we encountered the notably creepy and derelict old jail. Therein lie the two faces of Apalchicola.
