Separated from the mainland but easily accessed by a causeway, St. George Island struck me as a delightfully low key vacation spot. Being a narrow barrier island it's surrounded by beach on all sides. The dominant central landmark upon arrival is this beautiful lighthouse.
Believe it or not, I’d forgotten about that lighthouse.
