We stayed at Lighthouse Lodge in Pacific Grove, not far from the Point Pinos Lighthouse. Every morning we walked by it on our way to the beach. I think this emergence of lighthouse motifs foreshadowed, or even caused, my growing fascination with lighthouses.
It was well overdue.
