When I lived in Monterey county I never heard this fabulous walkway along Monterey Bay called a promenade, or referred to as the Monterey Bay Promenade, but I suppose that's exactly what it is. We walked from the Monterey Plaza Hotel to Custom House Plaza.
It is a perfectly pleasant promenade.
