I wanted to call it the Coconino Plateau but technically the land we were on after ascending the Mogollon Rim is part of the Colorado Plateau. In any case for anyone who has spent time around Flagstaff and the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, the landscape is familiar. There is a Coconino Plateau but it's a little bit west of here.
What is the yellow on the side of the road? Grass? Weeds? Sand? Dirt?
