Navajo Bridge revisited, part 2

In the majestic silence of this place, among the few sounds you hear are the calls and croaks of vultures. I seemed to recall something about California Condors inhabiting this area. Then, walking back across the bridge to the car, we saw a girl waving around an antenna. When asked what she was doing, she pointed out a California Condor flying overhead. I looked up and sure enough recognized the white markings on the undersides of the wings and remembered that - going back to when they were seriously endangered - many condors are tagged and numbered for tracking purposes.
