Where we stayed in the Ansonborough neighborhood (Bijou Inn, above) and why it smelled like horses (below). There are many horses in Charleston but not everyone gets to sleep next to them. Fortunately the smell goes away once you shut the door to your room.
Once we shut the door to OUR room. Some reviewers of the inn had odor problems even in their rooms. 😬
