This unusual L.A. county beach is named for Dan Blocker - the man who famously played Hoss Cartwright on the TV show Bonanza. One unusual thing about it was there didn't seem to be any beach or access to a beach, but just a parking lot overlooking the beach. A quick look at TripAdvisor and I see that people do in fact set foot on the beach, but we couldn't for the life of us figure out how it's done.
Not to mention all the signs that said “no beach access”!
