La Piedra is one of three sub-units of Robert Meyer Memorial State Beach (the others are El Pescador and El Matador). Our intention was to visit El Pescador, but the turn is so impossibly sudden and blind that we missed it. No worries, the next unit - La Piedra - was well worth a visit. These photos show the short and sometimes steep trail down to the beach.
I would not attempt that trail solo.
