Been wanting to come here for a while. The lagoon is where Malibu Creek meets the Pacific Ocean and is a sizable estuary. The beach, Surfrider Beach, was declared the first World Surfing Reserve in 2010. It's probably also the namesake of the Surfrider Foundation, an environmental group founded in Malibu by ecologically-minded surfers.
So glad we made it. 😊
