I had always thought that in the aftermath of 9/11, this part of lower Manhattan should be reinvented in a kinder, more eco-friendly way. I thought, for instance, that the Twin Towers site should be made into a "peace park" or a "peace garden". That didn't happen, but strolling around Battery Park in 2022, I realized that some of what was created here is the next best thing.
Nice park. Perhaps I will see it some day.
