Other species of birds seen that day, thanks to my brother's birding skills, were: oven bird, winter wren, yellow-bellied sapsucker, and ruby-crowned kinglet. Seen here is the back and bottom of a ruby-crowned kinglet, whose ruby crown is usually hidden and only appears on special occasions.
What fabulous bird names. Just saying the names is a highlight in my book.
