a tale of two Henry Cowells?

Ask a docent at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park if the park was named for the avant-garde composer and they will probably be confused. I should know, I did just that. It appears that there is no connection between the pioneer family that donated this land and the musical pioneer, even though they both inhabited the South Bay Area around the same time.
