The good news was that I reached the summit without much difficulty. The bad news was that as soon as I got up there, another hiker told me that he just saw a cougar - about my worst fear as a solo hiker. He assured me that it was nothing to worry about. Even so, I didn't linger. I took these photos from the point then boogied my way back down to civilization.
