One of the major highlights of the Bird Island Trail was this vibrant, tropical-looking blue lagoon where the harbor seal pupping season was in progress. We saw pups getting swimming lessons from their parents and occasionally taking forays into the nearby tunnel.
And we heard them making funny little (or not so little) yelping sounds. I thought it was a kid disturbing the seal pups and was very upset. Then I realized, it was the pups themselves.
