By now we had seen plenty of bald eagles, but this visit to the Alaska Raptor Center allowed us to see one "up close and personal" as they say. The center works with injured raptors that may not survive in the wild. Also seen was this representation of a bald eagle nest (below), which is stunningly huge, to say the least.
Supposedly this bald eagle really enjoys getting visitors. He was a beauty.
