Like Monterey, remnants of Sitka's colonial past are preserved in a park - Sitka National Historical Park. Seen here is the Russian Bishop's House, a lovely and lovingly preserved building that today is a museum. The building served multiple purposes for the Orthodox Church over the years and interestingly continued to function after the Russian Revolution of 2017. It became a National Historic Landmark in 1962.
