Among the problems with the room on the Matanuska was this strange stain on the carpet. The purser assured us was not vomit or anything harmful. I noticed that it resembled an animal with its mouth open - maybe a polar bear or sea lion?
It was supposedly salt from the saltwater they use in the plumbing. The purser said possibly a toilet overflowed (yuck!), but the handyman type guy said a pipe had burst. Either way, still yuck. I was NOT a fan of that stain.
